SUNDAY 8 AUGUST
Half Marathon - 5 KMs - Kids Mini-Mile
After taking a break in 2020 the Harwell Half Marathon is back and this time we will also be offering a 5KM and Kids Mini-Mile so this time the whole family can get involved.
Supporting BE FREE YC this event will give opportunities to runners at all levels of experience and lend support to a local charity
All race distances will start from within the futuristic site of Harwell Campus and the Half Marathon will be a mixed terrain route with some gentle undulations along footpaths, bridleways and tracks meandering up onto the Ridgeway National Path from where you can enjoy stunning views of the rolling Oxfordshire countryside before returning to the Campus for the finish.
The 5Kms and Kids Mini-Mile will take in some of the Campus highlights including the Diamond Light Source. For anyone looking for a fast and flat race to achieve a new personal best – this is the one for you!
9.15am - Kids Mini-Mile starts
10am - Half Marathon start
10:10am - 5km start
The courses will be clearly marked with plenty of marshals for encouragement and water stations will be available subject to Covid-19 restrictions at the time of the event.
Depending upon any Covid-19 restrictions on the race date we may implement changes to ensure everyone’s safety.
Ample parking onsite - suggested donation of £2/car to support Be Free YC.

“I have done many half marathons over the years and this is definitely my favourite one!!! It ticks all the boxes. I couldn’t fault it, the marshals were super, it was well organised, a beautiful route and so, so friendly. The directions and parking were perfect too.”
No headphones to be worn at any time during the event — this is for your own safety and the safety of other competitors.
