Now in it's 7th year, the Dinton Santa Dash at Dinton Pastures Country Park is becoming an annual tradition with many families and is a great way to be active during the frantic festive season.  We're very excited to have new sponsors for this year's event - Shredquarters Reading.

We are supporting First Days Children’s Charity – £2 of every entry donated direct to them. This money will have a direct impact on local children, by providing a nice warm bed to sleep in this winter.  Every £120 raised will buy a complete bed for a child;  frame, mattress, duvet & two pillows and linen.

2 distances to choose from: 2km or 5km

2km: 10.30am start  
5km: 11am start

  • Unisex trouser santa suit, event number, Christmas medal and mince pie/chocolate for every entrant
  • This event is not “timed” – it is a pure RUN for FUN (and charity)!
  • Free event photos to download after the event
  • No minimum age – we can source Santa suits, hats, baby-grows for all ages!
  • All under 8’s must be accompanied by a registered adult in the 2km.
  • All under 11’s must be accompanied by a registered adult in the 5km

Naomi – a very happy participant!

A really well organised and fun event for the whole family. Everyone gets in the spirit with a full Santa costume provided by the organiser, including little ones. The course is well marked and all the Marshalls are friendly and encouraging. Dinton Pastures is a lovely scenic location. The touch of mince pies and Christmas music at the end was lovely! This was my first time running with my 3 year old and she absolutely loved the whole experience and was completely thrilled with her medal and the cheers she got at the finish line. Very special experience for us both. Thank you.

Can I run with a pushchair?

Yes, as long as the child is securely fastened in the pushchair and the pushchair is suitable for uneven terrain.

Can I run with a dog?

Only if it is a guide or assistance dog.

Can I run the 2km with my child and 5km without my child?

Yes, of course (we know that feeling!). If that is the case - just enter yourself (the adult) for the 5km! 

Where/when do I get my Santa Suit?

These will be available to be collected from Dinton Pastures on the morning of the event.

A satisfied new recruit!

This was my first ever running race and being 14, makes it one to remember. My mum enjoyed seeing me smile and next year I’m planning to do it with my dad. Everyone was so nice and friendly and would recommend to everyone I meet x
