RESULTS FROM MONDAY 27 OCTOBER 2014 HERE
15 Tristars had a fun day at Crosfields School on Tuesday 8 April 2014 practicing all four disciplines of Triathlon; swimming, cycling, running and transition which culminated in putting these skills to use at the end of the day with a a mini Triathlon around the undulating grounds.
We held our first Half Term Triathlon Training Camp on Tuesday 18 February 2014 at Palmer Park Velodrome with 23 keen Tristars aged 7 – 13.
During the morning the children predicted their time to run a mile (4 laps of the 400m track) then actually run it, experienced what it is like to cycle around a velodrome and then took part in a Mini Duathlon.
During the occasional rain shower, we didn’t let that hamper their experience and they were soon “stair running” up and down the stadium steps interspersed with some strengthening exercises.
